TNK-BP is a leading Russian oil company and is among the top ten privately-owned oil companies in the world in terms of crude oil production. Recently it has declared a series of expansion plans following market trend set by other leading Oil and Gas Companies.
Latest in the Expansion plans include: -
1.Samara and Saratov regions that are adjacent to Orenburg. The success of Orenburg is spuring interest in Samara and Saratov and TNK-BP already holds license to these fields.
2. Next in queue is exploration in Uvat region. This will remain a top priority for the company with a proposed $500 investment.
3. Lastly there are plans for Eastern Siberian regions. Production has commenced already from Verkhnechonsk field which offers a tax waiver on export duty. With similar offers on other Siberian oil wells company plans to make it a profitable affair in Eastern Siberia.
The firm hopes to start Suzun output in 2012, with the first heavy oil from Russkoye following in 2013. But first TNK-BP must find a transportation solution and it is hopeful that the government’s soon-to-be-approved Yamal program will offer some options.
This growth is a good news for Oil and Gas recruitment companies as these ventures are primarily labour intensive processes.
